In this collection, I wanted to explore the connection between the fruits I grew up with and the everyday fruits many people eat today.
For most, bananas, oranges, berries, figs, and cucumbers are a regular part of life. But for my family and community, these weren’t our traditional foods. We had our own fruits—unique to our environment, season, and lifestyle—that sustained us and were part of everyday life.
