The story of my artwork

It’s coming into the wet season at home, its called the build-up. I hope we get a good lot of water to wash away the dust, fill the waterholes, rivers and creeks, Country needs to have its fill of freshwater. We go fishing to catch barra in the McArthur River and make sure we have a good supply of food, when the rain comes, Borroloola and all the surrounding stations get cut off. We all make sure everyone in the community has food and fresh water. When the rain comes it floods and the crocodiles move, they sometimes go into freshwater rivers and creeks, there isnt a lot of swimming going on, but one day mum, dad and one of my grannies took us for a drive to a place where the water was running over the road; it was car tire deep there was fish trying to swim against the current and little crabs which I thought was weird cause we were a long way from the ocean. We went swimming here, we were safe..

The artwork packaging comes with an explanation of the symbols used and the story it tells.

My prints are crafted with precision using giclée fine art grade printing on high-quality materials:

  • Paper: Textured cotton rag for a classic feel.
  • Canvas: Poly-cotton canvas for a durable finish.

Both options feature the finest HDX archival inks, ensuring longevity for over 100 years.

  • Paper prints come with a 35mm white border, included in the listed dimensions.
  • Canvas prints are stretched and ready to hang, with an internal stretching frame and wire fitted to the back for easy installation.

For an extra touch, external decorative frames can be added to either paper or canvas prints.

Dimensions & Framing info (if applicable)

My custom-made frames are crafted with care using sustainably sourced FSC certified Tasmanian oak, available in natural oak, black, or white finishes. Each frame is meticulously handcrafted to complement your piece.

For paper prints on cotton rag:

  • I use acrylic "Art Glass", offering beautiful anti-reflective glazing with 70% UV filtering.
  • This shatter-proof and lightweight material ensures safe shipping and installation.
  • Paper prints are wrapped in a shadow box frame, adding approximately 30mm to each face.

Canvas prints:

  • Sold stretched and ready to hang.
  • If you opt for framing, you'll receive a floating frame, adding around 15mm to each face.
