At Nardurna, every artwork is created to tell a story — a story of connection, Country, and culture. I was honoured when SDA (Space Design Architecture), a leading architectural firm based in New South Wales, chose two of my original paintings, Regenerate I and Regenerate II, to feature inside their beautifully designed contemporary office.
From our first conversations in early 2022, SDA expressed a genuine interest in incorporating Indigenous storytelling into their spaces. Their team sought out authentic work — reaching out with care and respect — and eventually selected two original canvas pieces that now hold a proud place in their workplace.
The team at SDA have gone even further, creating beautifully mounted story cards to sit alongside each artwork. These cards share the deeper meaning behind each painting — from the symbols used to the memories and stories they represent — offering everyone who visits their space an insight into the spirit of Nardurna.
It’s always incredibly special to see my work live inside spaces where design, community, and creativity are celebrated. SDA’s support — not only in showcasing the artworks but also sharing their stories — reflects a deep respect for Indigenous culture and storytelling.
